AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 17, relative to taxation.

As introduced, reduces professional privilege tax from $400 to $200 per year for attorneys in tax years that begin on and after June 1, 2027. - Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 17.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, relative to school nurses.

As introduced, requires LEAs to classify school nurses as licensed personnel for salary purposes; requires an LEA to pay a school nurse the base salary established for licensed teachers for the respective school year in certain circumstances; requires an LEA to pay a school nurse more or less than the established base salary per school year if the nurse has more or less training and experience than that required for the base salary. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 52; Title 56 and Title 71, relative to prescribed pediatric extended care centers.

As introduced, creates a licensure process for prescribed pediatric extended care programs; requires TennCare to submit a waiver to the federal centers for medicare and medicaid services seeking approval to provide coverage and benefits for those who receive services from a prescribed pediatric extended care program. - Amends TCA Title 52; Title 56 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 13 and Title 40, Chapter 35, relative to community terrorism.

As introduced, creates a Class C felony of reckless endangerment involving community terrorism, which is committed against a population within a geographic territory by members of a criminal gang or within 1,000 feet of a school or park; requires the sentencing court to revoke or prohibit the issuance of a driver license to individuals convicted of such offense for a five-year period following conviction. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 13 and Title 40, Chapter 35.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 8; Title 56 and Title 71, relative to insurance.

As introduced, establishes the Tennessee commission of insurance review; prohibits a health insurance entity from offering or maintaining a health benefit plan that uses downcoding in a manner that prevents the provider from collecting the fee for actual services performed either from the health benefit plan or the patient; makes other changes related to health insurance and health insurers. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 8; Title 56 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 38 and Section 49-7-118, relative to commissioned police officers on college and university campuses.

As introduced, requires an annual training pay bonus supplement for eligible campus police officers and public safety officers in the amount of $800. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 38 and Section 49-7-118.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 8 and Title 29, relative to damages.

As introduced, increases the amount for which the state may be liable for damages in causes of action arising in tort from $300,000 per claimant to $500,000 per claimant and from $1 million per occurrence to $1.5 million per occurrence. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 8 and Title 29.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to career readiness assessments.

As introduced, requires local education agencies and public charter schools to provide all high school students, instead of only high school seniors, the opportunity to take a nationally recognized career readiness assessment; requires the board of regents to establish a framework for institutions governed by the board to provide transcribable credit to students who earned a credential on a nationally recognized career readiness assessment in high school that may be applied toward the student's attainment of a postsecondary degree. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to school nutrition.

As introduced, establishes a nine-member Tennessee K-12 nutrition task force to evaluate the prevalence of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) and other substances in public school meal programs and the impact of UPFs on student health, to report its findings by December 1, 2026, and to terminate January 31, 2027. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71, relative to TennCare.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Medicaid Modernization and Access Act of 2025," which aligns TennCare's current Medicaid reimbursement rates for obstetrics/gynecology, primary care, outpatient mental health, and substance use disorder treatment with the Medicare fee schedule or average commercial rates, whichever is higher. - Amends TCA Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 29; Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal justice.

As introduced, adds "a victim" to the definition of an individual involved in the judicial process for purposes of the criminal offense of harming or threatening to harm an individual involved in the judicial process; makes various other changes regarding victims of crime. - Amends TCA Title 29; Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 40, relative to contraband in penal institutions.

As introduced, increases the penalties for a violation of the offense of introduction or possession of contraband into a penal institution from a Class C felony to a Class B felony for certain acts and certain types of contraband, from a Class D felony to a Class C felony for certain acts and certain types of contraband, and from a Class E felony to a Class D felony for certain acts involving a telecommunication device if the violation resulted in the death of another person. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.
