AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 33; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71, relative to healthcare providers.

As introduced, prohibits a healthcare provider who participates in the TennCare or CoverKids programs from refusing to provide healthcare services to an enrollee based solely upon the enrollee’s refusal to obtain a vaccine or immunization; prohibits the bureau from reimbursing a healthcare provider in violation of such prohibition; requires the director to adopt rules. - Amends TCA Title 33; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 29-39-102, relative to civil damage awards.

As introduced, states that the amount of damages awarded as noneconomic damages must not exceed $1 million in a health care liability action arising from obstetric or maternity negligence resulting in the death or permanent injury of a pregnant or postpartum woman. - Amends TCA Section 29-39-102.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4 and Title 8, relative to district attorneys general.

As introduced, revises the data that district attorneys general are required to include in the annual report submitted to various officials and the public; requires the clerk of every court having jurisdiction over misdemeanor and felony cases to provide the district attorneys general conference direct and unlimited access to the clerk's case management or reporting system for the purposes of complying with the district attorneys general conference's and district attorneys general's statutory reporting requirements. - Amends TCA Title 4 and Title 8.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 29-39-102, relative to civil damage awards.

As introduced, increases the amount of compensation an injured plaintiff in a civil action may receive for noneconomic damages from $750,000 to $1.5 million; increases the amount of compensation an injured plaintiff in a civil action may receive for noneconomic damages, if the injury or loss is catastrophic in nature, from $1 million to $2 million. - Amends TCA Section 29-39-102.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 1, relative to precious metals.

As introduced, adds certain definitions concerning precious metals; makes precious metal coins legal tender; prohibits a person from compelling another to accept precious metal coins as legal tender. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, Chapter 13; Title 23, Chapter 3; Title 66, Chapter 5, Part 1 and Title 66, Chapter 24, relative to conveyances of real property.

As introduced, requires that a deed of conveyance of real property be prepared by an attorney licensed to practice in this state, a title insurance agent licensed in this state, the owner of the real property being transferred, or a person with legal authority to act on behalf of the owner of the real property being transferred; makes other changes related to deeds of conveyance. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 13; Title 23, Chapter 3; Title 66, Chapter 5, Part 1 and Title 66, Chapter 24.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2; Title 5; Title 6 and Title 7, relative to elections.

As introduced, requires the legislative body of each municipality to change the date of municipal elections to coincide with the August primary or November general election; makes municipal elections partisan; standardizes the election timetable for referendums for the incorporation of a new municipality. - Amends TCA Title 2; Title 5; Title 6 and Title 7.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2; Title 3 and Title 8, relative to lobbying.

As introduced, provides that a school board, municipal utility, utility district, and department, agency, or entity of county or municipal government that employs a contractor, subcontractor, or representative for purposes of lobbying is deemed to be an employer of a lobbyist. - Amends TCA Title 2; Title 3 and Title 8.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-8-198, relative to unmanned traffic enforcement cameras.

As introduced, limits the use of unmanned traffic cameras that are authorized within the designated distance of a marked school zone to those times when a warning flasher or flashers are in operation or during times when children are present if the school zone does not have a warning flasher or flashers. - Amends TCA Section 55-8-198.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 3, Chapter 1 and Title 4, relative to the general assembly.

As introduced, upon the request of an immediate family member of a deceased member or former member of the general assembly, requires the governor and the speakers of the senate and house of representatives to allow the deceased member or former member to lie in state at the state capitol building for a specified period of time not to exceed the entire day; authorizes the governor and speakers to permit such deceased member to lie in state upon their own initiative if such deceased member does not have an immediate family member. - Amends TCA Title 3, Chapter 1 and Title 4.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, relative to feminine hygiene products.

As introduced, requires the department to establish and administer a pilot program for the placement of hygiene vending machines that dispense feminine hygiene products to students at no cost to the student in women's restrooms or locker rooms in each eligible school selected to participate in the program. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 12 and Title 67, relative to local government.

As introduced, increases from 90 days to 100 days the amount of time that a joint committee on county consolidation has following its receipt of a petition of consolidation to report its findings and recommendations on the feasibility of consolidation of the petitioning county with another county. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 12 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, relative to criminal offenses.

As introduced, expands the offense of aggravated criminal trespass to include trespassing that results in the disruption of a religious assembly, which is a Class A misdemeanor. - Amends TCA Title 39.
