Tennessee HB1818 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49; Title 55, Chapter 4; Title 55, Chapter 50 and Title 55, Chapter 8, relative to school transportation. It redesignates a subsection and adds a new subdivision stating that if a board of education contracts for transportation services with persons owning equipment, then the board must provide transportation to all students who live more than one and one-half miles from their assigned school. This act takes effect July 1, 2026.
