As introduced, expands the offense of aggravated criminal trespass to include trespassing that results in the disruption of a religious assembly, which is a Class A misdemeanor. - Amends TCA Title 39.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, relative to school nurses.

As introduced, changes from July 31 to July 1 the date by which an LEA director of schools must send a report to the department if the LEA did not contract for or employ at least one school nurse for every 750 students. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 36 and Title 68, Chapter 6, relative to youth athletic activities.

As introduced, requires each student who participates in a school youth athletic activity to file with the local education agency (LEA) or public charter school a preparticipation medical evaluation or an exemption; creates the safe stars advisory committee. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 36 and Title 68, Chapter 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to education funding.

As introduced, creates a 3 percent weighted allocation for a student who resides in a school district with a membership between 1,001 and 1,250, both inclusive. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, Chapter 27, relative to health insurance for public safety employees.

As introduced, requires, instead of authorizes, the state and local governments to provide fully paid health insurance coverage to the immediate family members of state and local law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty on or after January 1, 2020; removes the two-year limitation on the state or local government's full payment of such coverage; adds that family members of officers who suffer catastrophic injuries on or after January 1, 2020, also qualify for such coverage; requires the state to reimburse local governments that provide such coverage. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 27.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 71, relative to food assistance.

As introduced, requires the department to apply for federal grants and other federal funds available to the state through the federal summer electronic benefits transfer (SEBT) for children program during any year in which the program is offered, for the purpose of providing nutrition assistance through SEBT during the summer months for each eligible child. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 52, Chapter 8, Part 2, relative to respite care.

As introduced, removes the termination date of the Alzheimer's and dementia respite care pilot program; removes the requirement that the program must actively serve up to 225 enrollees at one time in each fiscal year of the program's operation. - Amends TCA Title 52, Chapter 8, Part 2.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 13 and Title 33, Chapter 11, relative to disbursements.

As introduced, requires that monies from the opioid abatement fund that are disbursed to nonprofit organizations for statewide, regional, or local opioid abatement and remediation purposes be disbursed as a combination of advance payment and reimbursement grants. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 13 and Title 33, Chapter 11.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 29, Chapter 16 and Section 54-21-107, relative to just compensation for removal or acquisition of outdoor advertising devices.

As introduced, requires just compensation to be paid for the acquisition or removal of an outdoor advertising device lawfully erected; prohibits the use of amortization to provide such just compensation. - Amends TCA Title 29, Chapter 16 and Section 54-21-107.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 36; Title 7, Chapter 82 and Title 68, Chapter 221, relative to fluoride in water.

As introduced, requires each utility system to obtain a certificate of analysis for any water sold by the utility system that contains fluoride, and post the certificate and the material safety data sheet for fluoride online. - Amends TCA Title 7, Chapter 36; Title 7, Chapter 82 and Title 68, Chapter 221.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 9 and Title 67, relative to funding for rural counties.

As introduced, enacts the "Greenbelt Initiative Fund Transfer (GIFT) Act," which creates the rural revenue equity fund; authorizes the commissioner of economic and community development to distribute amounts from the fund to rural counties based on certain agricultural, demographic, and fiscal criteria, including greenbelt acreage. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 9 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 7; Title 8 and Title 9, relative to reporting regarding persons not lawfully present in the United States.

As introduced, requires reporting by law enforcement agencies and local governmental entities and officials regarding persons not lawfully present in the United States; requires the department of finance and administration to report the annual cost incurred by this state for public schools, including public higher education institutions, prisons, hospitals, and social services agencies to provide benefits and services to persons not lawfully present in the United States. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 7; Title 8 and Title 9.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, relative to health insurance.

As introduced, changes the timing of when an LEA must file with the local education insurance committee any changes in health benefits offered under a local insurance plan from at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the changes to at least 40 days prior. - Amends TCA Title 8.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to educator licensure.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Civics Education Act," which requires persons seeking the first issuance of a practitioner teacher license or practitioner occupational teacher license to achieve a passing score on a United States civics test prepared by the department of education in order to obtain the license. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 57, Chapter 3 and Title 67, relative to taxation.
