AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 13, Part 5, relative to sexual offenses.

As introduced, revises the offense of continuous sexual abuse of a child, including the required number of victims, required number of incidents of sexual abuse, and time frame within which the incidents must have occurred. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 13, Part 5.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 11; Title 67; Title 69 and Title 70, relative to funding the wildlife resources agency.

As introduced, requires that 10 percent of the payments paid to or retained by the state from the Tennessee valley authority in lieu of taxes be allocated to the wildlife resources fund and used for boating and wildlife resources purposes. - Amends TCA Title 11; Title 67; Title 69 and Title 70.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 9-8-108, relative to compensation for persons who are wrongfully imprisoned.

As introduced, requires the board of claims to hear claims for compensation by persons wrongfully imprisoned whose charges are dismissed and sentences vacated; authorizes persons whose charges were dismissed and sentences vacated prior to enactment of this legislation to file a claim within one year; authorizes surviving spouse and children the right to file a claim with the board of claims on behalf of a person who was wrongfully imprisoned and died prior to filing a claim; grants surviving adult children the same right as surviving minor children to receive payments from an award. - Amends TCA Section 9-8-108.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 4 and Title 43, Chapter 27, relative to cannabis products.

As introduced, removes Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCa) and Tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCp) from the list of authorized hemp-derived cannabinoids. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 4 and Title 43, Chapter 27.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, relative to assistance for women.

As introduced, authorizes the commissioner to utilize Title V funds, to the extent permitted by federal law, to establish a program to provide funds to women whose pregnancies have ended in stillbirth for the purposes of offsetting burial or disposition costs of the stillborn child's remains and educational scholarships for such women; authorizes the commissioner to seek any necessary federal waiver or authorization to create such program. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 53 and Title 68, relative to health.

As introduced, deletes an obsolete section regarding the creation of a task force to study methods on how to best prevent cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes in this state. - Amends TCA Title 53 and Title 68.

A RESOLUTION to propose an amendment to Article XI, Section 5 of the Constitution of Tennessee, relative to lotteries.

Proposes an amendment to Article XI, Section 5 of the Constitution of Tennessee to authorize local boards of education to approve lotteries conducted by nonprofit school support organizations; requires that the net proceeds of the lottery’s revenues be allocated to the local education agency to be used for educational or extracurricular purposes.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to higher education.

As introduced, requires each public institution of higher education to classify a student who is the spouse of a service member who has not resided in this state for at least one year as an in-state student for tuition purposes if the service member's spouse resides in this state while enrolled in the institution; adds dependants of active-duty military personnel or veterans residing outside of this state to those who are eligible to receive the in-state tuition rate at a public institution of higher education; requires, instead of allows, the governing board of each such institution to provide the in-state tuition rate to military-affiliated individuals. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 9-4-603, relative to earnings of the state pooled investment fund.

As introduced, requires the state treasurer to allocate and deposit 10 percent of the investment income earned by the state pooled investment fund each fiscal year to the state highway fund. - Amends TCA Section 9-4-603.

As introduced, prohibits the use of a telecommunication device, with intent to deprive the owner of property, to fraudulently obtain or exercise control over the property of another without the owner's effective consent, which is punishable as theft, but in no event less than a Class E felony. - Amends TCA Title 39.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55 and Title 67, relative to taxation.

As introduced, adds the office of legislative budget analysis as a recipient of the annual report submitted by the commissioner of revenue to the members of the committees of the house of representatives and the senate with subject matter jurisdiction over finance-related matters on franchise and excise tax credits claimed under present law. - Amends TCA Title 55 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to educator licensure.

As introduced, allows the state board of education to waive the educator licensure requirement for an individual who does not hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution, but who has at least five years of teaching experience at a church-related school or private school approved to operate in this state, if the individual meets certain requirements. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, Chapter 35, relative to probation eligibility.

As introduced, states that there is a rebuttable presumption that a defendant convicted of aggravated assault is not a favorable candidate for probation if the offense involved the use or display of a firearm during the commission of the offense. - Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 35.
