An Act Concerning State Contracting For State Employee Health Insurance Coverage And Other Related Services.

To require additional notices to the Comptroller, the legislative leaders and Health Care Cost Containment Committee concerning the potential termination of participating provider agreements in the employee health insurance plan and to prohibit certain entities that terminate participating provider agreements from participating in future competitive selection processes for a period of time.

An Act Concerning The Creation Of A Contingency Special Education Grant, A Prohibition On Private Equity In Special Education And The Establishment Of A Working Group To Consider Innovations In The Provision Of Special Education Services.

To (1) provide a contingency special education grant for certain unanticipated special education costs, (2) prohibit the Department of Education from approving a private provider of special education services that is owned or operated by a private equity company, and (3) establish a working group to consider innovations in the provision of special education and related services through public-private partnerships.

An Act Concerning Wakesurfing On Certain Lakes In The State.

To authorize wakesurfing on most lakes in the state provided it occurs a certain distance from shore.

An Act Concerning Dog Licenses.

To authorize the issuance of online dog licenses from the Department of Agriculture in addition to the existing town clerk process for issuing such licenses, and to require dog owners to obtain licenses every three years rather than annually.

An Act Concerning The Review Of Health Care Entity Transactions, The Expansion Of Equitable Relief And Enforcement Tools Available Under The Connecticut Antitrust Act And The Inclusion Of Additional Information In Hospital Pricemaster Filings.

To (1) strengthen the review of health care entity transactions, (2) expand upon the types of equitable relief and other enforcement tools that may be utilized for violations of the Connecticut Antitrust Act, and (3) require additional information in hospital pricemaster filings.

An Act Concerning The Income Threshold For Tenants Renting A Dwelling Unit In A Set-aside Development.

To allow an individual whose income newly exceeds the set-aside development income threshold to continue renting a set-aside dwelling unit at the affordable rate.

An Act Concerning Deeply Affordable Housing.

To direct the Department of Housing to study the availability of certain deed-restricted housing and the potential for a grant program to incentivize the development of such housing.

An Act Compensating Spouses For State-funded Home Care.

To authorize payment to spouses and others who provide care under the state-funded portion of the Connecticut home-care program for the elderly.

An Act Establishing A Veterans Dental Care Access Program.

To establish a program, administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, for the purpose of assisting eligible veterans in receiving certain dental services.

An Act Concerning The Composition Of Fair Rent Commissions.

To require that fair rent commissions consist of an equal number of landlords and residential tenants.

To (1) provide to veterans the same level of benefits under the supplemental nutrition assistance program that they would have received under such program without a work requirement, prior to the elimination of the veterans work requirement exemption under Public Law 119-21, and (2) establish a Connecticut Farmers' Market/Veteran Nutrition Program to assist veterans deemed to be at nutritional risk.

To (1) establish a Public Transit Workplace Health, Safety and Violence Prevention Committee, and (2) require each public transit bus operated by the Department of Transportation or a transit district to be equipped with a security barrier for the protection and safety of public transit bus operators.

To (1) require the provision of notice to a parent or guardian of a minor child who seeks to receive pregnancy-related health care services, and (2) establish a court process to determine if such notice must be provided in a situation involving a minor child who does not want such notice to be provided.
