Establishes a housing program for impoverished veterans in Connecticut.

Connecticut HB05410 establishes a veterans' housing program to provide prefabricated homes to impoverished veterans. The homes, which must be at least 500 square feet with insulated walls, two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a bathroom, will be placed on the grounds of the Department of Veterans Affairs in Rocky Hill. Effective January 1, 2027, eligible veterans must have an income below the federal poverty line and have been without a permanent residence for at least 90 days.
