AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 15, relative to offenses against the family.

As introduced, extends from 10 to 20 days, the time within which a court must schedule a hearing on a petition to freeze the funds of a criminal defendant charged with financial exploitation of an elderly or vulnerable adult involving the taking more than $5,000 of property while the criminal proceeding is pending for purposes of restitution to the victim. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 15.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal offenses.

As introduced, expands the offense of adulteration of food, liquids, or pharmaceuticals to include adulteration for the purpose of making the user of the food, liquid, or pharmaceutical involuntarily intoxicated; classifies the offense as a Class D felony. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 42, Chapter 3 and Title 42, Chapter 4, relative to airport authority boards.

As introduced, changes from 60 days to 75 days prior to the beginning of the fiscal year the time in which the president of the metropolitan airport authority must submit the annual operating budget to the board for approval. - Amends TCA Title 42, Chapter 3 and Title 42, Chapter 4.

As introduced, requires the department to review and propose revisions to the physical education standards to incorporate guidance published by the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition to reestablish the presidential fitness test pursuant to Executive Order No. 14327 of the president of the United States on July 31, 2025. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to education funding.

As introduced, expands the category of students who are considered economically disadvantaged for purposes of generating a weighted allocation through the TISA funding formula to include students who are enrolled in the state's medicaid program. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 12; Title 45; Title 46; Title 47; Title 48; Title 62; Title 65 and Title 66, relative to consumer protection.

As introduced, deletes an obsolete provision staggering the effective date of the prohibition on printing more than five digits of a credit or debit card number or the expiration date on the receipt retained by the merchant or the receipt provided to the cardholder at the point of sale or transaction for a cash register or other machine or device that electronically prints receipts and that was in use prior to January 1, 2005, or first put into use on or after January 1, 2005. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 12; Title 45; Title 46; Title 47; Title 48; Title 62; Title 65 and Title 66.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 8; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71, relative to insurance.

As introduced, deletes an obsolete requirement that the commissioner conduct a study of this state's insurance laws to determine what impediments, if any, exist that may be acting as deterrents for insurance companies in this state to underwrite policies of insurance to insure a person who has used force that is justified, including deadly force, in protecting such person's self or property, and to submit a report of the study to the general assembly no later than March 1, 2012. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 8; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 11, Chapter 25 and Title 70, relative to the Doe Mountain recreation authority.

As introduced, creates an administrative attachment for the Doe Mountain Recreation Authority with the department of environment and conservation, while preserving the Authority's autonomy and powers in all other aspects. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 11, Chapter 25 and Title 70.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Just Compensation for Property Owners Act," which requires an airport authority that exercises eminent domain to acquire private property to pay enhanced damages and costs to the owner of the subject real property. - Amends TCA Title 29 and Title 42.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 16, Chapter 2, Part 5, relative to judicial districts.

As introduced, deletes the requirement that, beginning in 2028, the funding for each judicial district that has a disproportionately high number of judges, as determined by the comptroller, be reduced by 10 percent during the subsequent fiscal year if the legislature has not passed legislation reapportioning the judicial districts. - Amends TCA Title 16, Chapter 2, Part 5.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4 and Title 68, relative to building safety.

As introduced, increases, from 20 to 25 business days, the time within which the required inspection of an installed manufactured home must occur after the commissioner's receipt of the installer's report. - Amends TCA Title 4 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to the Individualized Education Act.

As introduced, requires the department, by July 1 each year, to provide the chairs of the finance, ways, and means committees of the senate and house of representatives, the chairs of the education committees of the senate and house of representatives, and the directors of the office of legislative budget analysis a report to assist the general assembly in evaluating the availability of the individualized education account program. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 1 and Title 49, Chapter 6, relative to student retention.

As introduced, authorizes, instead of requires, local education agencies and public charter schools to retain a student in the third grade if the student has not shown a basic understanding of the curriculum and an ability to perform the skills required in the subject of reading or English language arts. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 1 and Title 49, Chapter 6.
