AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 29; Title 36; Title 63 and Title 68, relative to assisted reproductive technology.

As introduced, directs the commissioner of health to conduct a study of legislative developments occurring in neighboring states within the last five years concerning patient access to and patient safety in the use of assisted reproductive technology; requires the commissioner to publish and transmit to the general assembly the commissioner's findings and recommendations no later than December 31, 2026. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 29; Title 36; Title 63 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39; Title 40 and Title 55, relative to driver education.

As introduced, requires the department of safety to update the advisory guidelines for best behaviors of drivers during traffic stops developed under present law; requires the updated guidelines to be included in driver education programs, driver improvement courses, and in the driver license manual. - Amends TCA Title 39; Title 40 and Title 55.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 47; Title 53; Title 56; Title 63 and Title 68, relative to medications approved by the federal food and drug administration.

As introduced, authorizes an owner or person in legal possession of drugs or devices deemed adulterated to request a show cause hearing electronically, rather than strictly in writing. - Amends TCA Title 47; Title 53; Title 56; Title 63 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, relative to taxation.

As introduced, requires every taxpayer eligible for an excise tax exemption under present law to file the application for, or renewal of, the exemption on or before the 20th day, instead of the 15th day, of the fourth month following the close of the first tax year for which the person claims the exemption. - Amends TCA Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 6; Title 7 and Title 68, Chapter 211, relative to solid waste disposal.

As introduced, prohibits municipalities, counties, and other political subdivisions of this state from disposing, or contracting for the disposal of, solid waste in a landfill located outside their territorial boundaries unless the host county or host municipality in which the landfill is located has entered into a host community agreement approving such disposal; applies to all contracts entered into for the disposal of solid waste on or after July 1, 2026. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7 and Title 68, Chapter 211.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 36, relative to divorce.

As introduced, states that a divorce proceeding shall not be stayed or delayed due to the pregnancy of one of the parties if the court can determine or both parties can agree to stipulate as to whether the other party is the parent of the unborn child and, if applicable, the court enters an agreed parenting plan and child support order. - Amends TCA Title 36.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to physical activity.

As introduced, allows time spent by students in a physical education class to meet physical activity time requirements if the students are physically active in the class; clarifies that physical activity may include structured movement breaks; allows a teacher to prevent a student from participating in unstructured play and to assign activities to students during periods of physical activity to improve or correct student behavior. - Amends TCA Title 49.
