AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 46 and Title 62, Chapter 5, relative to cemeteries.

As introduced, requires a cemetery company to include in its record of each burial in the cemetery the precise geographical location using latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates; requires the cemetery company to transmit a copy of the record to the funeral establishment responsible for the arrangements of the person buried at the interment site within 15 days after the date of burial. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 46 and Title 62, Chapter 5.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5 and Title 6, relative to county government.

As introduced, increases from 48 to 72 hours, the time within which the county legislative body must convene after the filing of an application by the county mayor for such convening based on the public necessity requiring it in the mayor's opinion. - Amends TCA Title 5 and Title 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 68, Chapter 11, Part 13, relative to the Hospital Cooperation Act of 1993.

As introduced, prohibits a hospital from negotiating or entering into an anti-competitive agreement or engage in anti-competitive conduct with other hospitals in this state; prohibits state funds from being used to facilitate, or otherwise further, an activity that constitutes the active supervision of anti-competitive conduct in the healthcare sector. - Amends TCA Title 68, Chapter 11, Part 13.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9 and Title 43, relative to assistance for farmers.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Agriculture Recovery and Investment in Family Farm (TARIFF) Relief Act," which creates a fund within the state treasury for the purpose of making grants to family farmers who have struggled with high input costs and market losses resulting from tariffs on agricultural goods, equipment, and machinery. - Amends TCA Title 9 and Title 43.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 49 and Title 67, relative to revenues from sports gaming.

As introduced, allocates 2 percent of revenue from sports gaming in this state to programs that serve rural and urban at-risk youth. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 49 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 677 of the Private Acts of 1949; as amended by Chapter 434 of the Private Acts of 1968; and any other acts amendatory thereto, relative to the county attorney for Hamblen County.

Subject to local approval, moves the election of the county attorney by the county commission from July to September; changes who reviews the compensation of and reimbursement of expenses to the county attorney, from the finance committee to the county legislative body. - Amends Chapter 677 of the Private Acts of 1949; as amended.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 71, relative to offenses against elderly or vulnerable adults.

As introduced, requires the court to set a date for a deposition to preserve testimony in a case in which an alleged offense against an elderly or vulnerable adult has been committed within 45 days, rather than 60 days, of the filing of the original motion to preserve testimony. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9 and Title 43, relative to assistance for farmers.

As introduced, adds the speaker of the senate and speaker of the house of representatives to whom the recipients of funding from the child abuse fund and its subsidiary funds, the child advocacy centers fund, the CASA fund, and the child abuse prevention fund shall report to annually regarding their use of child abuse fund moneys, their collaborative efforts to address the spectrum of child abuse issues, and their recommendations for additional improvements in the child abuse prevention and response system in this state. - Amends TCA Title 33 and Title 39.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 38 and Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13, relative to firearms.

As introduced, permits a current or retired chancery, circuit, or appellate court judge, who is an enhanced handgun carry permit holder and has successfully completed firearms training in accordance with POST certification, to carry a firearm in the same manner and locations that a law enforcement officer may carry a firearm; requires the administrative office of the courts to develop a uniform identification system clearly identifying that a person is qualified to carry a firearm; requires the judge or retired judge to carry the identification at all times when carrying a firearm. - Amends TCA Title 38 and Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 47, Chapter 18 and Title 50, relative to the use of self-service checkout.

As introduced, enacts "The Tennessee Safe Stores and Staffed Stores Act;" requires drug and food retail establishments using self-service checkout stations to maintain a minimum staffing ratio, limits self-service transactions to no more than 15 items, and prohibits the purchase of age-restricted or security-tagged merchandise at self-service checkout stations. - Amends TCA Title 47, Chapter 18 and Title 50.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 40 and Title 41, relative to persons serving criminal sentences.

As introduced, requires the monthly report of the warden of a county workhouse for each prisoner placed under a work release program to be filed with the judge by whom the prisoner was sentenced on or before the fifteenth day of the month immediately following the reporting period. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 40 and Title 41.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 9 and Title 47, Chapter 18, relative to consumer protection.

As introduced, requires certain commercial online platforms, websites, and applications to maintain a content moderation system that allows users to report material harmful to minors that is not properly marked or age-restricted; makes other changes related to platform content and minors. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 9 and Title 47, Chapter 18.

As introduced, requires the comptroller of the treasury to provide required cost and income limit estimates for property tax relief to the directors of the office of legislative budget analysis in addition to the members of the general assembly. - Amends TCA Title 48 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39; Title 53; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71, relative to telehealth.

As introduced, requires the commissioner to use existing resources to conduct a study of the requirements to obtain prescription medications via telehealth in neighboring states in order to determine the restrictions upon prescribers issuing prescription medications via telehealth and compare such restrictions to those on prescribers in this state; requires the commissioner to compile the findings from the study into a report and transmit a copy of the report to the general assembly no later than December 31, 2026. - Amends TCA Title 39; Title 53; Title 56; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29, Part 2; Title 4, Chapter 3 and Title 68, Chapter 204, Part 1, relative to state energy councils.

As introduced, authorizes the state energy policy council to submit electronically its annual comprehensive reports on its assessment of the state's energy sector and comprehensive state energy policy plan to the governor, the speaker of the senate, and the speaker of the house of representatives. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 29, Part 2; Title 4, Chapter 3 and Title 68, Chapter 204, Part 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7; Title 9, Chapter 21 and Title 67, relative to special districts.

As introduced, removes provision that allows speakers to alternatively appoint a senator or representative whose district was in a central business improvement district as of January 1, 1999, as ex officio board of directors member. - Amends TCA Title 7; Title 9, Chapter 21 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 49; Title 54 and Title 67, relative to the Local Government Revenue Stability Act.

As introduced, enacts the "Local Government Revenue Stability Act," which replaces property taxes with a statewide 4 percent surtax on the sale of goods and services to be collected in the same manner as the sales and use tax and disbursed to local governments. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 49; Title 54 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2 and Title 39, Chapter 17, relative to deepfakes in election communications.

As introduced, prohibits a person or entity from distributing an electoral deepfake within 90 days of an election that the person or entity knows or should have known is a deceptive and fraudulent depiction of a candidate or political party; creates civil penalties and outlines exceptions. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 39, Chapter 17.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, relative to health insurance.

As introduced, changes the timing of when an LEA must file with the local education insurance committee any changes in health benefits offered under a local insurance plan from at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the changes to at least 40 days prior. - Amends TCA Title 8.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2, relative to elections.

As introduced, authorizes the county election commission to notify individuals filing a petition for recall, referendum, or initiative to notify the individuals of a defect in the petition that must be cured prior to certification for final approval. - Amends TCA Title 2.
