Tennessee HB2234 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 47 and Title 66, to prohibit manipulation of rental prices. It defines unlawful restraint of trade or commerce as knowingly or recklessly facilitating the collection, analysis, and recommendation of rental prices or lease terms by software, data analytics services, or algorithmic devices. This act also makes such actions subject to civil and criminal penalties. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
