AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 3; Title 4 and Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5, relative to legislative access to records.

As introduced, requires a state governmental entity to disclose records and information to a member of the general assembly to enable the member to determine whether the laws of this state are being complied with and to determine whether the laws of this state need to be changed in accordance with certain procedures. - Amends TCA Title 3; Title 4 and Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 13 and Title 55, Chapter 10, relative to leaving the scene of an accident.

As introduced, increases the penalty for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class E felony; increases the penalty for leaving the scene of an accident that the person knew or should reasonably have known resulted in death from a Class E felony to a Class D felony. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 13 and Title 55, Chapter 10.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 4, relative to precious metals.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Transactional Gold and Silver Act," which recognizes gold and silver as legal tender for private transactions and, when accepted, for paying state and local taxes or fees; authorizes the creation of a secure bullion depository and an electronic payment system to support the use of gold and silver; exempts gold and silver transactions from state and local taxation. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 4.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 6, relative to taxation.

As introduced, changes the date, from February 1 to February 15, by which the department of revenue must submit its annual report regarding information and findings and any recommendations concerning sales taxes the department collects on the sale of electronic nicotine delivery devices to the speaker of the senate, speaker of the house of representatives, and chairs of the finance, ways and means committees of the senate and house of representatives. - Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 68, Chapter 221, Part 7, relative to hardwater standards.

As introduced, establishes that public water systems have a maximum allowable hardwater level of 180 mg/L, measured as calcium carbonate equivalents; creates compliance and reporting requirements; exempts measurements that exceed the limit due to seasonal runoff in certain circumstances. - Amends TCA Title 68, Chapter 221, Part 7.

As introduced, increases from two to three days, the minimum notice period required for a county mayor to convene a special session of the county legislative body for emergency purposes. - Amends TCA Title 5 and Title 6.

As introduced, prohibits the state or a local or municipal government from requiring a builder or developer of real property to pay for the building or development of infrastructure that is nonessential to the development, maintenance, or growth of the builder's development property. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 13; Title 54 and Title 66.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 38, Chapter 1, relative to body cameras for law enforcement officers.

As introduced, requires a law enforcement agency that uses body cameras to adopt a written policy for the use of the cameras by its law enforcement officers; establishes certain requirements for the policies. - Amends TCA Title 38, Chapter 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 6-51-104, relative to annexation.

As introduced, specifies circumstances in which a referendum will not be required to effectuate annexation of territory; removes repealer provision for exceptions to the referendum requirement. - Amends TCA Section 6-51-104.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 6, relative to school safety.

As introduced, allows certain school employees to conduct physical searches of students and searches of vehicles, containers, packages, lockers, or other enclosures used for storage by students or visitors in certain circumstances; narrows, from all threats of violence or significantly disruptive behavior at a public school that are reported to a state or local law enforcement agency to only those first determined by the LEA to be credible, the threats or behavior for which an LEA must notify parents and guardians within 48 hours. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 29, relative to privilege tax on property development.

As introduced, authorizes municipalities to levy a tax on the privilege of engaging in the act of development within the boundaries of the municipality; requires such tax to be levied at the rate and under the terms, conditions, and limitations contained in present law that apply to counties. - Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 29.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 51; Title 8, Chapter 30, Part 3 and Title 58, Chapter 2, relative to veterans.

As introduced, requires local governmental entities to invite honorably discharged veterans who apply for employment or promotion to interview; requires preference be given to such veteran if the minimum qualifications and the skills, abilities, competencies, and knowledge of the veteran and any another applicant being interviewed for the position are equal; requires state and local application forms to provide the option for an applicant to declare veteran status. - Amends TCA Title 7, Chapter 51; Title 8, Chapter 30, Part 3 and Title 58, Chapter 2.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 5, relative to property classification and assessment.

As introduced, clarifies that a notification sent by email from the assessor to a taxpayer of a change in the classification or assessed valuation of the taxpayer's property is effective when electronically sent. - Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 5.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 3, Chapter 1, relative to the general assembly.

As introduced, requires the speakers of the senate and house of representatives to determine an equivalent number of legislative conferences, or number of legislative conference days, for which a member of the senate or house of representatives is entitled to attend for purposes of receiving expense and mileage allowances. - Amends TCA Title 3, Chapter 1.
