Tennessee HB1521 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55, Chapter 10, to change the classification of leaving the scene of an accident. It makes a violation of the requirement to stop and comply with the law a Class E felony. The bill also specifies that failing to stop or comply when death results is a Class D felony. This act takes effect July 1, 2026.
