AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 70, Chapter 2, Part 1, relative to hunter education.

As introduced, authorizes LEAs and public charter schools to offer students in any of the grades five through 12 a hunter education course that is approved by the wildlife resources agency as part of physical education, health, or safety instruction. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 70, Chapter 2, Part 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 62 and Title 63, relative to professions.

As introduced, decreases from 30 to 21 days the time in which a licensed polygraph examiner or company must notify the commissioner of commerce and insurance of a change in business address. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 62 and Title 63.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 49; Title 4, Chapter 51 and Title 49, Chapter 4, relative to safeguarding financial aid programs funded using net lottery proceeds.

As introduced, requires the Tennessee higher education commission to submit a report to the education and finance committees of the senate and house of representatives identifying any fiscal year, beginning with the 2004 fiscal year, for which net lottery proceeds were insufficient to fully fund certain scholarships and grants, resulting in a pro rata reduction in award amounts or a draw upon the general shortfall reserve subaccount. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 49; Title 4, Chapter 51 and Title 49, Chapter 4.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 87 of the Private Acts of 1973; as amended by Chapter 31 of the Private Acts of 2005; and any other acts amendatory thereto, relative to Union County.

Subject to local approval, changes the building permit fee to fifty cents per square foot on all buildings constructed, erected, or reconstructed. - Amends Chapter 87 of the Private Acts of 1973; as amended.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 28 and Title 29, relative to civil liability.

As introduced, establishes a cause of action through which a person who suffers injury, death, or property damage caused by the negligent action of an agent of the federal government engaged in an immigration enforcement action may file a suit against the federal agency to recover compensatory damages and reasonable attorney's fees and costs of bringing the action; requires the person to file a claim within one year of the cause of action accruing. - Amends TCA Title 28 and Title 29.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 2 and Title 24, Chapter 7, Part 1, relative to forensic interviews.

As introduced, permits the introduction into evidence of a video recording of a child victim being interviewed by a forensic interviewer regarding sexual or physically violent contact with the child if the forensic interviewer is an employee of the department of children's services and meets certain requirements. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 2 and Title 24, Chapter 7, Part 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 38; Title 63 and Title 68, relative to death investigations.

As introduced, requires a county medical examiner to report certain instances of the natural death of an infant or young person under 20 to the federal Sudden Unexpected Infant Death and Sudden Death in the Young Case Registry; requires the county medical examiner to review the deceased infant's or young person's immunization and medical records; authorizes civil penalties and license sanctions for violations. - Amends TCA Title 38; Title 63 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, Chapter 8 and Title 49, relative to programs that reward persons who report weapons on school property.

As introduced, authorizes local boards of education and public charter school governing bodies to implement programs to reward persons who report the illegal presence of a gun on school property; authorizes the use of private funding sources to fund the reward programs. - Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 8 and Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to education.

As introduced, changes, beginning in 2027, the deadline for the department to submit its annual report on the school safety alert grant pilot fund from February 1 to January 15. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 68, Chapter 221, relative to unlawful disposal of waste.

As introduced, increases, from a Class C to Class B misdemeanor, the classification of offenses involving unlawful disposal of sewage if the person commits the offense while engaged in the business of removing accumulated wastes from subsurface sewage disposal systems. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 68, Chapter 221.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to career and technical education.

As introduced, requires each LEA to submit a report to the department of education by July 31 each year that includes, for the immediately preceding school year, the number of students the LEA provided with information on the career and technical education opportunities offered by the LEA after the students were administered a career aptitude assessment in grade seven or eight. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-4-116, relative to registration fees.

As introduced, subjects plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, instead of all hybrid electric vehicles, to the $100 additional vehicle registration fee for electric vehicles. - Amends TCA Section 55-4-116.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, relative to bail.

As introduced, creates a cause of action through which a victim can recover from a person, other than a professional bondsman or person with a bailable interest, who posts bail for a defendant and the defendant is subsequently convicted for a criminal offense that occurred while the defendant was on bail; allows the victim to recover for damage to property, injury, or death arising from the subsequent criminal offense. - Amends TCA Title 40.
