As introduced, changes from 100 years to 90 years the amount of time that must elapse from the date the adoption was finalized before confidential adoption records become public records open to inspection. - Amends TCA Title 18; Title 36, Chapter 1; Title 37; Title 49, Chapter 4, Part 9; Title 49, Chapter 5, Part 7 and Section 49-6-1304.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8; Title 14; Title 39; Title 40; Title 53; Title 63 and Title 68, relative to mRNA products.

As introduced, enacts the "mRNA Bioweapons Prohibition Act," which prohibits the manufacture, acquisition, possession, or making accessible to others of mRNA injections and products; requires state and local government officials to use all lawful means necessary to investigate or enforce suspected violations; punishes violations the same as manufacturing, acquiring, possessing, or transferring a weapon of mass destruction, which is a Class B felony. - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 14; Title 39; Title 40; Title 53; Title 63 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal justice.

As introduced, increases from 90 to 100 days of receiving a valid judgment of conviction for when the department has to notify the victim witness coordinator of the scheduled parole hearing date when the inmate will be eligible for parole consideration. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 10 and Title 49, relative to special education.

As introduced, requires each LEA and public charter school to install, maintain, and use, subject to parental approval, a video camera surveillance system in the special education classrooms operated by the LEA or public charter school to continuously monitor students, teachers, and staff in the classroom while special education or related services are being provided. - Amends TCA Title 10 and Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 68, Chapter 221, relative to unlawful disposal of waste.

As introduced, implements a system of graduated periods of suspension of a person's license to engage in the business of removing accumulated wastes from subsurface sewage disposal systems following conviction for offenses involving illegal dumping of sewage. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 68, Chapter 221.

As introduced, authorizes qualified companies to maintain a company police force that may exercise law enforcement authority within the confines of the company's properties; prescribes qualifications for police officers of a company police agency. - Amends TCA Title 29, Chapter 20; Title 38, Chapter 8 and Title 39, Chapter 17.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40 and Title 41, relative to the sentencing of criminal defendants.

As introduced, increases from one year to three years the amount of time a defendant receiving a split sentence of confinement and probation may be required to serve a portion of the sentence in continuous confinement in the local jail or workhouse; specifies that the state is responsible for all costs of incarceration after the first year. - Amends TCA Title 40 and Title 41.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal history records.

As introduced, allows certain felony offenders to petition to have the offender's criminal history records sealed after completion of all requirements of sentencing and at least five years without being convicted of a new offense. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8; Title 9; Title 16 and Title 40, relative to funding of licensing fees for district attorneys general.

As introduced, authorizes the district attorneys general conference to pay the licensing fees for software applications used by the office of the district attorney general within a judicial district. - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 9; Title 16 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 40; Title 47; Title 50 and Title 56, relative to requiring microchip implantation.

As introduced, prohibits a state or local government entity from requiring implantation of a microchip or other permanent identification marker as a condition to receive benefits or services, or participate in assistance programs, offered or otherwise provided by the entity; makes other related changes. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 40; Title 47; Title 50 and Title 56.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 67, Chapter 6, Part 3, relative to sales and use tax exemptions.

As introduced, exempts from the sales and use tax the retail sale of infant formula and diapers and wipes designed to be used by infants and children. - Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 6, Part 3.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 41 and Title 71, relative to food assistance for inmates.

As introduced, requires the commissioner of human services to provide to the commissioner of correction an application for food assistance to be used by inmates in state correctional institutions prior to release; requires the application to contain an option for the inmate to indicate a denial to apply for food assistance and reasons for doing so; requires the commissioner of correction to supply the application to each inmate prior to release; requires reports to the general assembly on certain data collected from the applications and on the number of inmates leaving incarceration who are approved for food assistance. - Amends TCA Title 41 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, relative to law enforcement officers.

As introduced, clarifies that the notification provided by a retiree's new employer to the retirement system concerning the reemployment of the retiree as a law enforcement officer must be provided in writing. - Amends TCA Title 8.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 49, Part 1 and Title 49, relative to sports wagering.

As introduced, requires a licensee offering interactive sports wagering in this state to restrict access to such wagering on certain campuses of public institutions of higher education; requires certain public institutions of higher education to restrict internet access to interactive sports wagering on campus. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 49, Part 1 and Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 37, Chapter 1, Part 1, relative to court-appointed special advocates.
