The bill establishes a TennCare buy-in program, allowing eligible Tennesseans to obtain affordable health coverage through managed care organizations. Eligible individuals must be residents, aged 18-64, not eligible for Medicare or other TennCare categories, not incarcerated, and meet citizenship and immigration status requirements. The Department of Finance and Administration will establish a monthly premium schedule based on household income, with options for lower premiums or waivers for low-income individuals.
