An Act Regulating Self-checkout Stations In Grocery Stores.

To require that grocery stores that offer self-checkout stations (1) have one manual checkout station operating for every two self-checkout stations operating, (2) have at least one employee for every two self-checkout stations monitoring such stations, and (3) do not operate more than eight self-checkout stations at any time.

An Act Concerning Proceedings Of The Siting Council And Other Requirements Concerning Certain Utility Expenditures.

To modify provisions concerning the Connecticut Siting Council, including by modifying its membership, establishing the Consumer Counsel as a party in proceedings and modifying submission and notification requirements for council applications.

To require funding of tobacco control programs to prevent and reduce tobacco use at the amount recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

An Act Concerning The Use Of Ranked-choice Voting In Party Caucuses, Conventions And Primaries, Including Presidential Preference Primaries, And In Certain Municipal Elections.

To afford political parties the flexibility to use ranked-choice voting in party caucuses, conventions and primaries, including presidential preference primaries.

An Act Concerning Education Funding, Special Education And Early Childhood Programs.

To make revisions to (1) the foundation amount, the education cost sharing grant, the choice program grant and the charter school funding grant, (2) clarify the process for developing the rate schedule for private providers of special education services, and (3) provide spaces in early childhood programs under Early Start CT for families who become ineligible under the income standards for the Care 4 Kids program.

An Act Concerning Criminal Penalties For Intentional Damage To Critical Infrastructure.

To strengthen criminal penalties for intentional damage to or tampering with critical infrastructure and public safety systems by expanding the offenses of criminal mischief in the first and second degrees to include conduct that causes damage, or creates a risk of interruption or impairment of services rendered to the public, including utility, transportation, communications, emergency response and other essential state and municipal systems.

An Act Concerning Funding Of The Quality Metrics Program For Nursing Homes.

To implement the Department of Social Services' quality metrics program for nursing homes.

An Act Concerning Emergency Medical Services Response Time Transparency.

To require the Commissioner of Public Health to establish an emergency medical services response time dashboard to collect and display emergency medical services response time data.
