Relating to disability pay for West Virginia State Troopers

The purpose of this bill is to increase pay for State Troopers with permanent total disability from injuries received in the line of duty in accordance with the pay increases the Trooper would have received from seniority had the Trooper not been injured.

The purpose of this bill is to increase each school district's basic foundation program by increasing the ratio of professional educators per 1,000 students and the ratio of service personnel per 1,000 students, both of which are a part of the calculation used to determine each school district's basic foundation program; and provide that for the 2026-2027 school year only, a school district cannot be penalized for failing to meet the minimum ratio of professional instructional personnel per state aid funded professional educators.

The purpose of this bill is to remove the responsibility to hear appeals of certification decisions by the subcommittee from the Deputy Cabinet Secretary or his or her designee to the Office of Administrative Hearings and clarify that the Office of Administrative Hearings is to hear appeals from decisions or orders of any of the subcommittees of the Governor's Committee on Crime, Delinquency and Correction. to the Office of Administrative Hearings.

The purpose of this bill is to create the Safe School Events Music Act.

The purpose of this bill is to impose a 15 percent privilege tax on the retail sale of electric vehicle charging services at public charging stations.

Veterans Housing Redevelopment Tax Credit Act

The purpose of this bill is to incentivize the redevelopment of existing structures into permanent or transitional housing for homeless veterans through a transferable tax credit, without creating a new entitlement or ongoing state operating obligation.
