Introduced·2/11/26
Intr Text

Increases disability pay for West Virginia State Troopers with permanent total disability from injuries received in the line of duty.

This bill amends the West Virginia Code to increase disability pay for State Troopers who are permanently and totally disabled from injuries received in the line of duty. The pay increase aligns with the salary increases the Trooper would have received from seniority had they not been injured. The minimum annual pay is set at $15,000, unless otherwise required by the article. The bill also addresses the payment of medical expenses related to the disability.
