Introduced·1/22/26
Draft Text

SB2093 amends Tennessee Code to redefine the Doe Mountain recreation authority's relationship with the Department of Environment and Conservation.

SB2093 modifies Tennessee Code to clarify that the Doe Mountain recreation authority is attached to the Department of Environment and Conservation solely for administrative support, including staff hiring. For all other purposes, the authority operates independently, with no supervisory control from the department. The bill also mandates that the authority prepare an annual report of its business affairs and transactions, to be made available for public inspection and filed with the comptroller of the treasury, the governor, and the speaker of the house of representatives by January 31 each.
