This bill amends previous acts to create the office of County Attorney for Hamblen County. The County Attorney will be elected annually by the Hamblen County Commission at the September meeting. The County Attorney will receive an annual retainer fee of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1200), payable in monthly installments. The bill also allows for additional compensation for legal services performed on behalf of the County. The act requires approval by a two-thirds vote of the Hamblen County legislative body to become effective.
