SB2600 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 6, Chapter 51 and Title 6, Chapter 58, relative to annexation. It deletes the requirement that annexed land must be within a municipality's urban growth boundary. It also allows municipalities to annex territory in the county's planned growth area or rural area without amending a growth plan. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
