The purpose of this bill is to repeal existing state law relating to requiring state law enforcement officers and employees to assist federal agencies in enforcement of federal immigration laws and prohibits these activities absent of a judicially approved warrant; establishes limitations on any enforcement agreements, places limits on participation with federal agents, establishes reporting requirements of any immigration enforcement related activities, and provides for disciplinary action for state employees who violate this act.

The purpose of this bill is to permit tow trucks, or wreckers to have one or more flashing or revolving blue lights in addition to the already allowed flashing or revolving yellow lights authorized by this chapter and by §17C-15-27 of this code. The bill provides that the blue light shall only be equipped on the rear of the vehicle and a tow truck may only operate with blue lights while the tow truck is stationary on the side of the road or highway while responding to a disabled vehicle, nor may a tow truck may not operate with blue lights at any time while in motion.
