Permits tow trucks to use blue flashing lights in addition to yellow lights.
This bill amends the Code of West Virginia to allow tow trucks and wreckers to use one or more flashing or revolving blue lights in addition to the already permitted flashing or revolving yellow lights. The blue light must be installed on the rear of the vehicle and can only be used while the tow truck is stationary on the side of the road or highway while responding to a disabled vehicle. The tow truck cannot operate with blue lights while in motion. The bill also restricts the use of blue flashing warning lights to police vehicles.
