Tennessee SB2530 allows a deceased member or former member of the general assembly to lie in state at the state capitol building for up to one day.

Tennessee SB2530 amends state law to allow a deceased member or former member of the general assembly to lie in state at the state capitol building for up to one day, upon request from an immediate family member or the governor and speakers' own initiative if no immediate family member exists. Immediate family member includes a spouse, parent, sibling, or child. This act takes effect upon becoming law.
