AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-4-409, relative to the recordation tax.

As introduced, requires 50 percent of collections of the recordation tax levied on transfers of realty to be remitted to each county; requires counties to use such funds for transportation infrastructure, schools, and other nonrecurring expenses. - Amends TCA Section 67-4-409.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13 and Title 55, Chapter 50, relative to firearms.

As introduced, creates the offense of carrying or possessing a firearm, including a firearm that was privately assembled and does not contain a serial number or other mark that conforms with federal law, if, at the time of carrying or possessing, the person is not a citizen of the United States or a lawful permanent resident. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13 and Title 55, Chapter 50.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 71, relative to TennCare.

As introduced, requires, on and after July 1, 2026, a minor who is enrolled in TennCare medicaid or the CoverKids program to remain eligible for such program until the minor reaches 18; prohibits the division of TennCare from subjecting the minor to a redetermination of eligibility or disenrollment, except under certain circumstances; requires the director of TennCare to submit any necessary federal waiver request by December 31, 2025. - Amends TCA Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 68, Chapter 211; Title 68, Chapter 221 and Title 69, relative to solid waste.

As introduced, creates exception to the state regulation of biosolids by authorizing the legislative body of Grundy County to regulate such activities. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 68, Chapter 211; Title 68, Chapter 221 and Title 69.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, Chapter 11, relative to surrender of defendants.

As introduced, requires a sheriff to accept the surrender of a criminal defendant on pretrial release by a bail bondsman or surety for good cause, pending a hearing by a court with jurisdiction to admit to bail to determine whether there is good cause for the surrender. - Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 11.
