Tennessee HB1992 modifies the Doe Mountain recreation authority's administrative and audit procedures. The authority remains attached to the Department of Environment and Conservation for administrative support, including staff hiring, but is independent for other purposes. Authority staff are considered full-time Department employees, subject to applicable laws and policies. The authority must undergo audits by the comptroller of the treasury, with the comptroller or their representative having access to the authority's books and records.
