Tennessee HB1994 requires the Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) to conduct a thorough evaluation of the preparedness and response efforts of local and state officials, departments, and agencies during the Hurricane Helene natural disaster. The evaluation includes recommendations for future disaster responses, which will be reported to relevant committees in the state senate and house of representatives. All appropriate local and state entities must assist TACIR in this evaluation. The act will take effect immediately upon becoming law.
