AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63, Chapter 1, Part 9, relative to health care for pregnant patients.

As introduced, enacts the "Maternal Health Care Protection Act," which prohibits the exercise of a healthcare provider's right of conscience under the Medical Ethics Defense Act from allowing the provider to refuse to participate in or pay for pregnancy-related healthcare procedures, treatments, or services that are within the scope of the provider's license and professional obligations; prohibits the exercise of such right from allowing a healthcare institution or healthcare payer to adopt or enforce a policy, guideline, or contractual provision that results in the denial of pregnancy-related healthcare procedures, treatments, or services. - Amends TCA Title 63, Chapter 1, Part 9.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 20 and Title 29, relative to the application of foreign law.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Foreign Law Non-Recognition Act." - Amends TCA Title 20 and Title 29.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to school nutrition.

As introduced, requires local boards of education to establish a program to provide free school breakfast and lunch to disadvantaged students; subject to funding, requires the state to reimburse LEAs for providing such free breakfasts and lunches after all federal funds have been applied. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 15, relative to offenses against the family.

As introduced, extends from 10 to 20 days, the time within which a court must schedule a hearing on a petition to freeze the funds of a criminal defendant charged with financial exploitation of an elderly or vulnerable adult involving the taking more than $5,000 of property while the criminal proceeding is pending for purposes of restitution to the victim. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 15.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 213 of the Private Acts of 1992; as amended by Chapter 91 of the Private Acts of 2006; and any other acts amendatory thereto, relative to the residency requirements of the City Administrator of the City of South Pittsburg.

Subject to local approval, removes the requirement that the city administrator reside within the municipal limits to instead require residence within a 50-mile radius of the municipal limits. - Amends Chapter 213 of the Private Acts of 1992; as amended.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 38; Title 39; Title 47 and Title 68, relative to gun violence.

As introduced, allows the department, office of criminal justice programs, to use available existing resources to seek appropriate funding and resources from the federal and state governments to design and implement grants to reduce gun violence in this state. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 38; Title 39; Title 47 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 37, relative to immunizations.

As introduced, deletes the responsibility of a parent or legal guardian to ensure that such person's child receives vaccines as recommended by guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the American Academy of Pediatrics. - Amends TCA Title 37.

As introduced, creates an affirmative defense that may be utilized by a covered entity that is the subject of a data breach, if the covered entity’s cybersecurity program meets certain criteria at the time the breach occurs. - Amends TCA Title 20; Title 29 and Title 47, Chapter 18.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39; Title 40 and Title 55, relative to hit and run.

As introduced, increases the penalty for failing to stop at the scene of an accident when the person knew or should reasonably have known that death resulted from the accident by requiring a mandatory period of confinement of not less than one year and a minimum fine of $10,000. - Amends TCA Title 39; Title 40 and Title 55.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 68, Chapter 105, relative to blasting.

As introduced, requires a blasting firm that conducts a pre-blast survey for an owner or occupant of certain buildings within 300 feet of the blast hole to provide the survey upon request by the owner or occupant at no cost. - Amends TCA Title 68, Chapter 105.

As introduced, expands the period of peacetime military service of a member of the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) that the member may purchase for creditable service in TCRS. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 34.
