SB2300 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8 and Title 50, Chapter 2, relative to employment. It mandates that employers compensate employees for unused accrued paid leave upon separation from service, to be paid as wages at the employee's final rate of compensation. This compensation must be paid in a lump sum within thirty days after separation from service. The act also prohibits the forfeiture of accrued paid leave upon an employee's separation from service and applies to employment contracts executed, modified, or amended after the act's effective date.
