AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 6 and Title 63, relative to parental rights.

As introduced, requires local education agencies and public charter schools to notify the parent or legal guardian of each student enrolled in the LEA or public charter school of their right to opt their student out of receiving instruction on firearm safety; allows a school social worker licensed by the state board of education to provide certain preventative and developmental counseling services to students without first obtaining parental consent. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6 and Title 63.

As introduced, enacts the "Tennessee Ballot Access Act." - Amends TCA Title 2.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, Chapter 44, relative to public meetings.

As enacted, requires a local governing body subject to the open meetings laws to reserve a period of public comment to provide the public with the opportunity to comment on any matter germane to the jurisdiction of the governing body, regardless of whether the matter is listed on the agenda for the meeting. - Amends TCA Title 8, Chapter 44.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 70, Chapter 2, Part 1, relative to hunter education.

As enacted, authorizes LEAs and public charter schools to offer students in any of the grades five through 12 a hunter education course that is approved by the wildlife resources agency as part of physical education, health, or safety instruction. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 70, Chapter 2, Part 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2, Chapter 19, relative to the Transparency for Deepfakes in Political Advertising Act.

As enacted, requires political advertisements to include a disclaimer if the advertisements include deepfake elements impersonating or depicting a candidate engaging in activity or speech in which the impersonated or depicted candidate did not in fact engage; makes a violation of such disclaimer requirement a Class C misdemeanor; entitles candidate to damages and equitable relief for violations. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 19.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55, Chapter 4, relative to hybrid electric vehicles.

As enacted, redefines "hybrid electric vehicle" to clarify that it is a motor vehicle that is propelled by a combination of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine or other power source and components thereof. - Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 4.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 1 and Title 49, Chapter 6, relative to social studies education.

As enacted, beginning with the 2027-2028 school year, requires each LEA and public charter school to, as part of the social studies curriculum, to present a civics instructional video approved by the state board of education at least once to students in grades six through eight and at least once to students in grades nine through 12. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 1 and Title 49, Chapter 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 33; Title 53; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71, relative to pharmacies.

As introduced, changes from April 15 to October 15, the date on which the bureau of TennCare is directed to annually report to the senate health and welfare committee and the health committee of the house of representatives regarding program costs and patient outcomes related to incorporating the pharmacist-provided medication therapy management pilot program each year the pilot program is supported. - Amends TCA Title 33; Title 53; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 46, relative to places of burial.

As enacted, specifies that, in regard to the criminal offense of desecration of a venerated object, "desecrate" includes, but is not limited to, the removal of objects from a place of burial by a person other than a family member of the deceased or an authorized representative of the cemetery. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 46.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 38; Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal impersonation.

As introduced, increases the penalty for criminal impersonation of a law enforcement officer from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class E felony if the offense occurs while the defendant is committing or attempting to commit a crime of violence. - Amends TCA Title 38; Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, relative to pretrial release for certain offenses.

As enacted, establishes a presumption that a defendant should not be released on the defendant’s personal recognizance if the defendant is charged with a felony offense that involved the use or display of a firearm or resulted in the serious bodily injury or death of the victim; requires a magistrate who determines that the presumption has been rebutted to include in the bail order written findings for each factor considered in making such a determination. - Amends TCA Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2; Title 4; Title 8, Chapter 18 and Title 67, Chapter 1, relative to the Tennessee assessor of property certification board.

As introduced, creates the Tennessee assessor of property certification board to review qualifications for the county office of assessor of property; creates new qualifications for such office. - Amends TCA Title 2; Title 4; Title 8, Chapter 18 and Title 67, Chapter 1.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 57, relative to alcoholic beverages.

As enacted, requires a manufacture's license for the manufacturing of alcoholic spiritous beverages or vintage alcoholic beverages issued to or renewed by a manufacturer to authorize the sale at retail a product for which a manufacturer owns the intellectual property rights and that the manufacturer received bottled as imported from Mexico; authorizes the manufacturer to serve certain samples of the product manufactured or distilled at the premises or imported and registered for distribution and sale in this state. - Amends TCA Title 57.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 15, Chapter 2, relative to days of special observance.

As enacted, designates the third Sunday in June of each year as "Fathers' Day." - Amends TCA Title 15, Chapter 2.
