SB1624 amends Tennessee Code to require disclosures for deepfake political ads. Audio deepfakes impersonating candidates must state at the beginning and end that the content is fake. Video deepfakes must display a disclaimer throughout. Broadcasters and carriers are not liable unless they created the content. Impersonated candidates can seek damages and relief, excluding certain provisions. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
