HUMAN SERVICES -- MEDICAL ASSISTANCE - Provides that licensed independent clinical social workers be able to enroll and bill Medicaid directly for covered services provided to adults with Medicaid fee-for-service coverage.

MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES -- SPECIAL STOPS REQUIRED - Requires the placement of a stop sign at any intersection of a roadway and bike path.

PUBLIC FINANCE -- INDEPENDENT PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY AUDIT OF THE RHODE ISLAND DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - Requires that an independent performance and efficiency audit be conducted for the department of transportation by the auditor general.

HEALTH AND SAFETY -- RHODE ISLAND BAN ON THE CORPORATE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE ACT - Establishes the Rhode Island Ban on the Corporate Practice of Medicine Act.

PROPERTY -- BY POSSESSION AND PRESCRIPTION - Repeals the provisions of § 34-7-4 regarding rights of footway being acquired by adverse possession.

COMMERCIAL LAW -- GENERAL REGULATORY PROVISIONS -- THIRD-PARTY LITIGATION FINANCING CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT - Provides for "litigation financing" regulation by DBR.

COMMERCIAL LAW -- GENERAL REGULATORY PROVISIONS -- PROTECTING RHODE ISLANDERS FROM COERCIVE ECONOMIC TACTICS AT GROCERY STORES - Creates a new chapter to protect Rhode Island consumers from coercive tactics at grocery stores.

BUSINESSES AND PROFESSIONS -- VETERINARY PRACTICE - Requires veterinarians to provide consultations to animal owners when a drug is prescribed and dispensed for that annual patient.

TAXATION -- TAX SALES - Requires specific notice of the tax sale to the taxpayer with a copy of this § 44-9-10 attached thereto. Failure to do so would render the tax sale null and void.

EDUCATION -- UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND SCHOOLS OF MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY - Provides for the creation of medical and dental schools at the University of Rhode Island.

COMMERCIAL LAW -- GENERAL REGULATORY PROVISIONS -- UNFAIR SALES PRACTICES - Provides that stores offering food product discounts must provide the same discounts to in-store customers that are offered to customers using electronic digital coupons.

EDUCATION -- RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF TEACHERS GENERALLY - Requires the department of elementary and secondary education to disclose whether a potential applicant's name appears on a list of teachers terminated for good cause.

COMMERCIAL LAW -- GENERAL REGULATORY PROVISIONS -- FILING OF TRADE NAME - Creates the surveillance pricing and online retailing act that would prohibit algorithmic price increases for online purchases.

MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES -- OPERATION OF BICYCLES - Requires bicyclists to slow or stop at a stop sign and yield to vehicular traffic.

MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES -- EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES GENERALLY - Requires every vehicle that operates in intrastate commerce be permanently marked with a US DOT Number effective April 1, 2027.

TAXATION -- PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION - Provides a totally and permanently disabled veteran with a one hundred percent (100%) exemption from local taxation on real or personal property including real property located in any fire or lighting district.

COMMERCIAL LAW -- GENERAL REGULATORY PROVISIONS -- GIFT CARD FRAUD - Makes offenses against gift card holders subject to the penalties for larceny.

INSURANCE -- ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS INSURANCE POLICIES - Permits licensed providers to accompany emergency medical services and treat patients within the community for mental health disorders, including substance use disorders.

COMMERCIAL LAW -- GENERAL REGULATORY PROVISIONS -- AGE-APPROPRIATE DESIGN CODE - Requires that any covered entity that develops/provides online services, products, or features that children are reasonably likely to access shall consider the best interest of children when designing/developing such online service, product, or feature.

INSURANCE -- ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS INSURANCE POLICIES-NON-OPIOID PAIN TREATMENT - Requires health insurers to develop a plan to provide adequate coverage, of and access to, a broad spectrum of pain management service.
