AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 12 and Title 67, relative to local government.

As introduced, increases from 90 days to 100 days the amount of time that a joint committee on county consolidation has following its receipt of a petition of consolidation to report its findings and recommendations on the feasibility of consolidation of the petitioning county with another county. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 12 and Title 67.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 29; Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal justice.

As introduced, adds "a victim" to the definition of an individual involved in the judicial process for purposes of the criminal offense of harming or threatening to harm an individual involved in the judicial process; makes various other changes regarding victims of crime. - Amends TCA Title 29; Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 38, Chapter 7, relative to autopsies.

AN ACT pursuant to Article II, Section 24, of the Tennessee Constitution providing for the dollar amount and rate by which the growth of appropriations from state tax revenues will exceed the estimated growth in the state's economy and to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 52.

As introduced, deletes requirements that budget document includes personal income statement for calendar year 1977 and actual state appropriations for fiscal year 1977-1978. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 52.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-1-106, relative to the general assembly.

As introduced, decreases from 50 to 25 miles a member's principal residence is from the capitol for purposes of the member receiving the hotel portion of per diem; prohibits such members from receiving a daily mileage allowance. - Amends TCA Section 3-1-106.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal sentencing.

As introduced, adds as an enhancement factor to be used in determining the sentence within the permissible range for a criminal offense that the defendant is an adult and committed the offense with a minor, regardless of whether the minor was convicted of the offense. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-6-103, relative to distribution of revenues.

As introduced, reallocates the increase in the rate of sales and use tax from 6 percent to 7 percent pursuant to Chapter 856 of the Public Acts of 2002 by apportioning 4.6030 percent of such increase to municipalities. - Amends TCA Section 67-6-103.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 3, relative to funding for teachers' supplies.

As introduced, increases, from $200 to $500, the amount each LEA and public charter school is required to pay each teacher in kindergarten through grade 12 for the purchase of instructional supplies. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 3.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4 and Title 71, relative to TennCare.

As introduced, enacts "Emma's Bill," which requires that when making a determination of medical necessity, the bureau shall take into consideration the patient's overall condition and use such overall condition as a factor to determine the level of funding and what medical items and services the patient receives, even if such determination does not result in the least costly course of diagnosis or treatment. - Amends TCA Title 4 and Title 71.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 38 and Section 49-7-118, relative to commissioned police officers on college and university campuses.

As introduced, requires an annual training pay bonus supplement for eligible campus police officers and public safety officers in the amount of $800. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 38 and Section 49-7-118.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 11, Chapter 3 and Title 58, relative to state park discounts for veterans.

As introduced, requires that veterans who are Tennessee residents be offered the same discounts at state parks at the same rates and with the same frequency as discounts offered to state employees at state parks. - Amends TCA Title 11, Chapter 3 and Title 58.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 9, Chapter 8 and Title 29, relative to damages.

As introduced, increases the amount for which the state may be liable for damages in causes of action arising in tort from $300,000 per claimant to $500,000 per claimant and from $1 million per occurrence to $1.5 million per occurrence. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 8 and Title 29.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, relative to feminine hygiene products.

As introduced, requires the department to establish and administer a pilot program for the placement of hygiene vending machines that dispense feminine hygiene products to students at no cost to the student in women's restrooms or locker rooms in each eligible school selected to participate in the program. - Amends TCA Title 49 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 4, relative to financial aid.

As introduced, expands eligibility for a dual enrollment grant to include students who are sophomores in high school and admitted to an eligible postsecondary institution as a dual enrollment student. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 4.

As introduced, enacts "The Mint Act," which establishes a precious metals enterprise fund to be administered by the state treasurer for the purpose of acquiring, converting, storing, and selling bullion and specie. - Amends TCA Title 9, Chapter 4.
