AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4; Title 8; Title 16; Title 18; Title 40 and Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 6, relative to victim notification systems.

As enacted, requires the clerks of the criminal courts to provide the Tennessee sheriffs' association with all court data necessary for the administration of the criminal proceedings notification system. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 8; Title 16; Title 18; Title 40 and Title 67, Chapter 4, Part 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 62, Chapter 2; Title 65; Title 68, Chapter 221 and Title 69, relative to utilities.

As enacted, makes revision to present law concerning sewerage systems using land application; exempts Hamilton County from the provisions requiring the developer of a subdivision or neighborhood that proposes to construct a treatment works to submit an application to the utility serving the area in which the system is located. - Amends TCA Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 62, Chapter 2; Title 65; Title 68, Chapter 221 and Title 69.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 5; Title 6; Title 38 and Title 68, relative to fire investigation.

As enacted, requires certification from the peace officer standards and training commission and certain other criteria to be met in order for the commissioner of commerce and insurance, the commissioner's deputies, a municipal fire investigator, or a salaried county fire investigator to exercise police powers, including the power to arrest, relative to cases of arson or suspected arson. - Amends TCA Title 5; Title 6; Title 38 and Title 68.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 36, Chapter 6; Title 37, Chapter 1 and Title 39, Chapter 15, relative to children.

As enacted, specifies that a parent's or legal guardian's action of raising, guiding, or instructing the parent's or legal guardian's child in a manner consistent with the child's biological sex is not a basis for certain findings or actions by the court, does not constitute the criminal offense of child abuse, child neglect, or child endangerment, and must not be considered as a negative factor by a court in determining a custody arrangement in the best interest of the child. - Amends TCA Title 36, Chapter 6; Title 37, Chapter 1 and Title 39, Chapter 15.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 64, Chapter 9, relative to the Megasite Authority of West Tennessee.

As enacted, authorizes the Megasite Authority of West Tennessee to issue bonds for the sole purpose of financing, in whole or in part, the cost of acquisition, purchase, construction, reconstruction, improvement, betterment, or extension of the water system or wastewater system operated by the authority; grants certain additional authority to the board of directors; limits liability of the state on bonds of the authority. - Amends TCA Title 64, Chapter 9.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 37, Chapter 1, Part 1; Title 49, Chapter 1; Title 49, Chapter 2 and Title 49, Chapter 6, relative to attendance.

As enacted, requires a director of schools to refer to juvenile court certain students who were formerly enrolled in the LEA, who were receiving certain truancy interventions, who withdrew from the LEA, and who did not transfer to another LEA; makes related changes. - Amends TCA Title 37, Chapter 1, Part 1; Title 49, Chapter 1; Title 49, Chapter 2 and Title 49, Chapter 6.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to education.

As enacted, prohibits an LEA or public charter school from using public funds to initiate or maintain any civil action or proceeding against this state or an agency or officer of this state to challenge a school or district accountability measure established under state law. - Amends TCA Title 49.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 26; Title 30; Title 33 and Title 52, relative to homestead exemptions.

As enacted, adds a child who is 18 or older and has a developmental or intellectual disability to whom the homestead exemption extends upon the death of the head of the household. - Amends TCA Title 26; Title 30; Title 33 and Title 52.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39 and Title 55, relative to criminal offenses involving driving.

As enacted, defines "seriously bodily injury" for the purposes of the present law offense of vehicular assault, which occurs when a person who, as the proximate result of the person's intoxication, recklessly causes serious bodily injury to another person by the operation of a motor vehicle or vessel subject to registration; makes related changes. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 55.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 55 and Title 65, relative to transportation.

As enacted, removes present law that requires an offender sentenced to a period of incarceration for a DUI to begin their sentence within 30 days of conviction or, if space is not immediately available in the appropriate municipal or county jail or workhouse within such time, as soon as such space is available; requires, instead, the sentencing court to determine when such an offender is required to commence service of their sentence. - Amends TCA Title 55 and Title 65.
