A president swears to defend the country, not to bend its policy toward a hostile power. Many Americans look at this president's dealings with Vladimir Putin, and at his treatment of Ukraine and America's allies, and see national security being traded away. Impeachment is the Constitution's remedy when a president abuses the office and endangers the nation. It is a vote each member of Congress casts, and voters deserve to know where every candidate stands before they cast theirs. Allies who depend on American resolve are watching. So are adversaries who benefit when that resolve weakens. Ukraine is fighting an invasion while Washington wavers. Candidates for Congress should not hide behind talk of process or politics. They should say plainly whether a president who sides with an aggressor against American interests can stay in office. Vote to impeach and remove President Trump.
On September 15, Rep. Thomas Massie filed eight articles of impeachment against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and the House can be forced to vote on them. The Constitution gives Congress, not the executive branch, the power to take the country to war, and it gives the House the power to remove officials who ignore that limit. Keeping American forces in combat in Iran without authorization from Congress is exactly the kind of abuse impeachment exists to answer. Impeachment is not a criminal trial. It is how Congress enforces the oath every official swears to the Constitution. Vote to impeach and remove him.
The Postal Service is on track to run out of cash within a year, and the people now running it were installed by an administration that has been open about wanting to sell it off. This is not a company that failed in the market. It is a public service, written into the Constitution, that reaches every address in America whether or not that address is profitable: the rural route, the veteran's prescription, the small business shipping its first orders, the mail ballot. Carve out the profitable pieces for private carriers and what is left is everyone those carriers were never going to serve, at whatever price they decide to charge. A Postmaster General who came off FedEx's board is not the person who should be deciding which routes are worth keeping. Fund the Postal Service, block any sale or privatization of its routes and facilities, stop closures and service cuts in underserved communities, and reject any interference with voting by mail.
