The SAVE Moms and Babies Act of 2025 amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the approval of new abortion drugs and investigational use exemptions for abortion drugs. It also imposes additional regulatory requirements for previously approved abortion drugs. These include limiting dispensing to in-person administration by a prescribing health care practitioner, requiring reporting of adverse events, and mandating a risk evaluation and mitigation strategy.
