Accountancy Practice Amendment Act of 2025

As introduced, Bill 26-494 would revise the eligibility requirements for accountancy licensure by authorizing a holder of a baccalaureate degree with two years of experience and who has passed an examination in accounting and auditing to obtain a license. It would also amend the mobility requirements for those who are licensed in another jurisdiction and want to practice in the District.

Education Code Adjustments Amendment Act of 2025

As introduced, Bill 26-430 would revise reporting requirements regarding school attendance with a focus on chronic absenteeism and attendance outcomes. It would allow the Research Practice Partnership to contract directly with DC Government agencies. It would also amend The Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children Establishment Act per the request of the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission. Provisions from Bill 26-278 have been incorporated into this bill.

Restricting Egregious Scalping Against Live Entertainment (RESALE) Amendment Act of 2025

As introduced, Bill 26-224 would cap the price of tickets sold on a secondary ticket platform at an increase of 10% of the total price of the initial ticket and ban the sale of speculative tickets. It requires resellers that sell over a certain amount of tickets to register and provide certain information to the Department of Licensing and consumer Protection. It lays out refunding policy, “all in” pricing, establishes procedures for transferability of tickets and among other things also requires the Mayor to issue rules to implement provisions governing the registration of resellers. Glazier Licensing Standards and Certification Act of 2025

As introduced, Bill 26-422 would establish licensing standards and certification requirements for glazier and glazing contractors. It would also add 19 members representing glaziers and glazing contractors to the Board of Industrial Trades. FISCAL NOTE - This bill is passed Subject to Appropriations. Seasonal Pricing and Price Gouging Amendment Act of 2025

As introduced Bill 26-49 would allow for alternative calculation based on a seasonal pricing model to protect consumers from price gouging; and also make a public health emergency a triggering event for the prohibition against price gouging.
