Amends heating and cooling regulations for rental housing in D.C.

The Climatizing Our Overheated Living Spaces Regulation Amendment Act of 2025 amends the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations to revise the dates for providing heating and air conditioning services in rental housing. Heating must be provided from October 15 to April 15, and air conditioning from April 15 to October 1. The act sets minimum and maximum internal temperature requirements for rental housing where heating and air conditioning are under tenant control. It also mandates annual inspections of central or shared air conditioning equipment in buildings with two or more units.
