Eric’s ID Amendment Act of 2026 allows applicants to indicate nonapparent disabilities on licenses and IDs, prohibits additional fees, and mandates.

Eric’s ID Amendment Act of 2026 amends the District of Columbia Traffic Act to allow applicants for a license, permit, or identification card to indicate a nonapparent disability. The Department of Motor Vehicles must place a nonapparent disability notation on the front and back of the card. The act prohibits charging additional fees for including or removing such notations, requires the Metropolitan Police Department to implement training on interactions with individuals who have nonapparent disabilities, and mandates public outreach efforts.
