The purpose of this bill is to prohibit civil rights violations based on disability gender identity, or sexual orientation. The bill provides that evidence of constitutionally protected speech or associations is not admissible in criminal prosecutions except in certain situations. The bill provides for sentencing alternatives for persons convicted of violations. And, the amendments to this section are to be known as "Angel's Law".

The purpose of this bill is to improve health, reduce health care usage and costs and help prevent disease through nutritional wellness and prevention measures and allow for nonpharmacological alternatives to enrollees who choose them. The bill requires that health insurance policies provide coverage for nutritional wellness and prevention that is shown to be beneficial to the enrollee and recommended by the enrollee's physician.

The purpose of this bill is to prohibit the release of addresses and names of employers of persons who make contributions to political elections and providing misdemeanor criminal penalty.

Relating to modifying the Charter Schools Startup Fund

The purpose of this bill is to modify the Charter Schools Startup Fund; change the name of the fund; require submission of application to the West Virginia Professional Charter School Board in order to receive funds from the Charter Schools Startup Fund; require notice to potential applicants; require certain contents be included in application; expand the uses for the funds; require distribution of money to qualifying charter school applicants and charter schools, subject to availability of funding; allow the West Virginia Professional Charter School Board to establish competitive process when the number of applicants exceed funding; eliminate criteria an applicant must demonstrate as a condition of receiving funds; modify time frame for distribution of funds; require repayment in certain circumstances; and specify the manner of distribution.

Providing fire safety requirements for agritourism businesses

The purpose of this bill is to provide reasonable minimum safety standards for fully enclosed buildings participating in the state's agritourism program.
