The Stop Lawmakers From Predicting Act amends chapter 131 of title 5, United States Code, to restrict Members of Congress and their spouses and dependents from profiting off prediction markets. The bill defines a "covered individual" as a Member of Congress, their dependent child, or their spouse. It prohibits these individuals from entering into agreements, contracts, or transactions that depend on the occurrence or extent of a specific government policy, government action, political outcome, or any other event they become aware of due to their congressional service.
