Exempts marginal oil and gas wells from certain Clean Air Act standards and requirements.
The Protect Domestic Oil and Gas Small Business Act of 2026 amends the Clean Air Act to exclude marginal wells from certain standards of performance and other requirements. A marginal well is defined as a well site with an average daily production of 15 barrels of oil per day or less, or 90,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day or less. The Environmental Protection Agency must revise regulations and guidance to implement these exclusions within 180 days of the Act's enactment. Any pending enforcement actions related to these standards for marginal wells are terminated.
