Extends duty-free treatment for African imports and customs user fees through 2028.
The AGOA Extension Act extends duty-free treatment for imports from certain African countries under the African Growth and Opportunity Act through December 31, 2028. It also extends customs user fees through the same date. The bill allows for the retroactive liquidation or reliquidation of entries of covered articles made after September 30, 2025, and before the enactment of this Act, provided a request is filed within 180 days of enactment. The term "covered article" refers to an article from a country designated by the President as a beneficiary sub-Saharan African country.
