Promotes capital raising options for underrepresented small businesses through educational resources and events.
The Promoting Opportunities for Non-Traditional Capital Formation Act amends the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to require the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation to provide educational resources and host events to promote capital raising options for traditionally underrepresented small businesses. This includes women-owned and minority-owned businesses, those in rural areas, and those affected by natural disasters. The Advocate must also meet annually with state securities commissions to discuss collaboration efforts.
