The Ensuring Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide coverage for certain pharmacist services under Medicare Part B. These services include evaluations and management for COVID-19, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, or streptococcal pharyngitis, and other testing or treatment services addressing public health needs. The bill also prohibits balance billing for these pharmacist services and sets the payment rate at 80% of the lesser of the actual charge or 85% (or 100% for public health needs) of the Medicare payment basis.
