Pharmacist services covered under Medicare Part B with specific payment provisions.

The Ensuring Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to include pharmacist services under Medicare Part B. It defines pharmacist services as those legally authorized under state law and incident to a physician's service. Payment for these services is set at 80 percent of the lesser of the actual charge or 85 percent of the payment basis. The act also prohibits balance billing for pharmacist services. The changes apply to services furnished on or after January 1, 2026.
