Cut the funding behind ICE's lawless detention and enforcement abuses and restore the independent detention ombudsman meant to hold the agency accountable. No agency should run on a blank check with no oversight while people are detained without due process.
Permanently protect America's public lands, national forests, and the Boundary Waters from mining, logging, and fire-sale giveaways. These places belong to all of us, and once a watershed or old-growth forest is sold off or drilled, no future Congress can give it back.
The Postal Service is on track to run out of cash within a year, and the people now running it were installed by an administration that has been open about wanting to sell it off. This is not a company that failed in the market. It is a public service, written into the Constitution, that reaches every address in America whether or not that address is profitable: the rural route, the veteran's prescription, the small business shipping its first orders, the mail ballot. Carve out the profitable pieces for private carriers and what is left is everyone those carriers were never going to serve, at whatever price they decide to charge. A Postmaster General who came off FedEx's board is not the person who should be deciding which routes are worth keeping. Fund the Postal Service, block any sale or privatization of its routes and facilities, stop closures and service cuts in underserved communities, and reject any interference with voting by mail.
