Business & Economy
“That's what I'm going to be doing for Ohioans when I'm fighting for them to have not just lower property taxes, not just the gas tax suspension that we're delivering this couple of weeks, but also lower electric bills, which can really make a difference in helping families get ahead instead of just struggling to make ends meet.”
Health Care
“And I am committed to ensuring that the Ohioans and law-abiding Ohioans who rely on Medicaid, who rely on Medicare, absolutely have access to it at the highest quality, higher quality than they get today, because we're going after the fraudulent actors that open up funding that we keep in Ohio.”
Technology & Telecom
“If a data center is built in your community, then (i) you will no longer have to pay for your home’s electricity, (ii) you will pay lower property taxes, and (iii) the data center will be required to abide by all air and water quality standards without exception, and we will take the necessary steps to protect Ohio’s fertile farmland.”
Elections & Campaigns
“But this is an issue that actually allows voters to take the matter into their own hand and enshrine into Ohio's constitution the common sense idea that to vote in our elections, you need photo ID.”
Education (K-12)
Empower parents with transparency and meaningful choices over where and how their children learn. Pay our best teachers more by rewarding excellence and attracting top talent into the profession.
Taxes & Revenue
Slash property taxes immediately to protect families, seniors, and homeowners from being priced out of their communities. Phase out the state income tax—starting with eliminating capital gains taxes—so every Ohioan keeps more of what they earn.
Crime & Policing
Enforce stricter bail and sentencing for repeat violent offenders.
Energy & Utilities
Expand natural gas and deploy innovative energy technologies to strengthen Ohio’s energy supply and reduce electric bills for every family. Streamline energy project permits and remove unnecessary regulations so projects get built on time and on budget.

Tech companies are racing to build data centers that draw as much power as a small city, and they want you to pay for the wiring. When one comes to town, the utility has to build new power plants, transmission lines, and substations, and unless your state says otherwise, that bill gets spread across every household’s rates while the company that caused it negotiates a special deal. Some of these facilities also pull millions of gallons of water a day from the same reservoirs and aquifers that families and farms depend on. The richest companies in the world don’t need a subsidy from your electric bill. Make data centers pay the full cost of the grid and water they use, through the public utility commission and in law, so the companies building them cover the bill instead of families.
Finish repealing the HB6 utility bailout at the center of the largest bribery scandal in Ohio history, and refund ratepayers the subsidies they're still paying for failing coal plants. Ohioans should not keep funding the deal that sent lawmakers to prison.
You can’t shop around for electricity. A monopoly power company sets your rates, a state commission is supposed to hold it in check, and the company is allowed a set profit on every dollar it pours into new plants and power lines, so the incentive is always to build more, charge more, and pass the bill to you. Too often customers end up paying for projects that failed, for the utility’s lobbying and political spending, and for rate hikes regulators wave through. Families are choosing between the power bill and groceries while shareholders collect. Rein in monopoly utilities: ban charging customers for lobbying and political spending, cut the profits regulators hand them, and require refunds when regulators find overcharges.
