This bill expands eligibility for grandparent power of attorney and caretaker authorization affidavits in Ohio. It allows grandparents to execute a power of attorney if the child's parent is seriously ill, incarcerated, unable to provide financial support, or unable to provide adequate care. It also allows grandparents to execute a caretaker authorization affidavit if they have made reasonable attempts to locate the child's parents but have been unable to do so.
